Yet Another Pedal? Meet PENDA!

Thanks for all the info. Penda II looks great and well on it’s way. Maybe later this year I can build one then

@DADD This looks amazing!!! I’m trying to order from JLCPCB - do you by chance have a JLCPCB BOM? Or a BOM for another PCB provider? I tried exporting out of KiCad but it wasn’t able to match anything against the JLCPB database (I’m probably doing something wrong, lol)

Thanks!
Andy

Hi Andy,

Thanks for your message! :slightly_smiling_face: I’m not entirely sure I understand your request — all the PCB fabrication files (Gerbers, BOM, etc.) are in the fab folder.

Maybe you’re referring to a BOM that’s compatible with JLCPCB? If so, I can help you generate one that’s ready to use with their platform. Could you let me know which version of the board you’re working with — the V1 mono or the new MKII stereo version?

Cheers,
Philippe

Hi Philippe - I’m looking at the V1 penda gihub, and I don’t see a BOM or CPL:

Yes, was hoping to get a BOM/CPL I could use with JLCPCB to order a few

Cheers,
Andy

Hi Andy,

If I understand correctly, you want JLCPCB to manufacture, place, and solder the components.
I have no experience with this process and can’t guarantee the result.
If someone on the forum has already done it, could they provide the missing files?

The BOM and placement files can be generated with KiCad using the JLC PCB Fabrication Toolkit plugin: production.zip (227.4 KB).

Apart from the display (a Waveshare 2P: 2.0" LCD Module) and the Daisy-Seed board, the PENDA project uses standard components.
I’d be happy to help you choose component types if you have any doubts, and to check your list.

Have you thought about integrating everything into an enclosure?
This can be tricky depending on the components you select.

Which region do you live in?
Philippe
