What is microtemporal scheduling?

Hi Graham,

I was wondering, what’s microtemporal scheduling that you mentioned in the press release?

Could you please expand on that a little?

Thank you.

Wow press release sounds formal :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

That part was about the kind of distinguishing features of gen~ as a per-sample programming space: along with single-sample feedback (filters, physical models etc) it supports a level of programming that can place events at sample-rate accuracy, for things like granular synthesis, waveset distortions, microsound in general etc.

Over the years I’ve added a few examples of this kind of thing in the Max gen~ examples folder; it’s part of what distinguishes it from ordinary Max patching etc.

Ahh gotcha. Because of the word scheduling, I thought it had something to do scheduling events like Extempore. That got me kinda excited.

Thank you for the reply!

So great you are personally involved in this.
