Wow press release sounds formal
That part was about the kind of distinguishing features of gen~ as a per-sample programming space: along with single-sample feedback (filters, physical models etc) it supports a level of programming that can place events at sample-rate accuracy, for things like granular synthesis, waveset distortions, microsound in general etc.
Over the years I’ve added a few examples of this kind of thing in the Max gen~ examples folder; it’s part of what distinguishes it from ordinary Max patching etc.
Ahh gotcha. Because of the word scheduling, I thought it had something to do scheduling events like Extempore. That got me kinda excited.
