I tried to build a 16 knob synthesizer on a breadboard using two CD4051s, each 4051 connected to 8 potentiometers. The first 4051 worked normally, but when I connected the second 4051 and selected the 9-16 potentiometer control in Plugdata, noise began to be emitted and the synthesizer was also producing sound. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
What value pots are you using? How are the pots powered?
Iām just wondering if the problem is that the pots are drawing too much current?
