I think the topic says it all - should Serial.print work as it should on a Nano or Pro Mini ? I don’t see anywhere that says it doesn’t work.

OK. I’ve answered my own question which is YES, Serial commands do work. For some reason it wasn’t working for me. A combination of making too many changes and not testing all combinations. I am happy that it now works.
