Seed/POD - Device Not connecting

Hi,

*** Seed not connecting or being recognised in

  • Plugdata, web programmer, not visible in operating system usb
  • I am holding the boot and pressing reset
  • Have tried x3 cables and x3 computers

I’ve already posted in Discord about this, but just wondering if there’s any way to further trouble shoot this or do a factory reset before I order a new seed.

On a Mac, use ‘System Information’ to see what’s on the USB bus, before and after doing the button presses to enter DFU mode. Note: CMD-R gets System Information to refresh the display.

Do you have any way to verify that the USB cables you tried do both power and data?

Not to be too repetitious - but are you certain you’re doing the button sequence correctly?
Press and hold the BOOT button
Press RESET button
Release BOTH buttons.

There is no ‘factory reset’.
Yes, it’s $30, but it’s always good to have a spare, especially if you’re tinkering with hardware.

I’ll double check the usb bus and cables.

Yes I’ll def order another, just a little gutted as I barely got to experiment with it so far. It has been in the office for over a year though so not complaining.
