Questions about audio block size

Hello,

I am currently working on a guitar pedal project. I purchased the Pod until CMC returns from vacation and I can then purchase a Hot House. The code is done, but I need clarification on the audio block size.

My goal is to process each sample one at a time. I only wish to use a single mono channel. If I set the block size to 1, do I get both L and R samples, or only the L sample on the Pod?

You always get all the channels, regardless of block size. On the Pod, that’s two channels. On devices with an additional stereo codec, four channels.

You didn’t need to guess, it can be easily verified with a Pod. Create a stereo passthrough program, with blocksize set to 1. Note that left input comes out left side, right input comes out right side.
