Protections on the CV Inputs of the Patch SM

I saw on another posts that I shouldn’t send higher than ±5V to the CV inputs of my Daisy Patch SM, otherwise it will get fried. Knowing that other eurorack modules can send enveloppes up to ±10V, how true is this? What type of protections should I use to avoid any problematic. Furthermore, I saw on the schematic of the patch.init that not any other protections have been added to their CV inputs, isn’t this a huge liability? How has it not created a huge case of broken modules?

Just a confused guy, thank you for your time

According to the datasheet, min and max are the negative and positive supply voltages. In other words, +/- 12v, and I wouldn’t expect damage even beyond that.

This is really strange that people were saying it could damage it, thank you as always for the great instructions tele_player. I really is precious to me

It’s possible that the datasheet is incorrect.

Could you share the link to this thread? I would like to read more about what happened. Thanks!
