Fixing Clicks - Best Practices

Hi,

I started with the Daisy Pod recently, programming in gen~. So I created a simple looper, but I am getting loud clicks upon stopping the recording and starting the loop. What would you suggest should I try first:

  1. doing a short fadein & out , as the clicks may result from not cutting at the zero crossings?
  2. or could the problem be that the clocking of the audio and the daisy (1ms I think) is different?

In your experience, what’s the better path?

Hello!

How does it sound on your desktop? If it’s click there and it’ll make that noise when flashed to Daisy.
But yes, I typically do a short fade in/out and that usually resolves it.

oh, I didn’t think of that. There are no clicks on the desktop, so I assume it’s between the audio rate and the daisy clock? I assume a fadein/out wouldn’t help?
