DaisyDuino Will Not Run Examples

Hello!
I am a beginner at the DaisySeed, and I have been trying to just play a tone out of a speaker. For some reason, when I go into the Arduino Examples, and choose the example to upload, I get this error: fatal error: stm32h7xx_hal.h: No such file or directory

Does anyone know how to get this file? I have been having trouble with the ST site as well, it having me sign in and then not allowing me to download any packages.

I would appreciate any help!

Hi Again! Now it is not detecting the board even though it is plugged in. It is giving me this error: “NOD_C031C6” not found. Please ensure the device is correctly connected.
Any advice would be appreciated

Welcome!!

You would need to do that part in order for DaisyDuino to work properly.
Here’s a video (timestamped) where I walk through that step.

Hope it helps!

Thank you so much! After getting it set up, I now am trying to run the tone program. I have connected my seed and wired an audio jack to my board. I plugged headphones in, but there is no sound coming through. Do you have any recommendations on what to do?

Glad to hear that you can flash to the Daisy now!

I would double check that things are connected correctly. You can reference our tutorial on that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=He9yUlpQ9B8

By the way, it’s recommended that you use an audio interface since you’ll need to put together a headphone amp to use the headphone with the Daisy.

In this video, it looks like you connect headphones to the audio jack, is this not possible? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7t8ggCvSLRs

You can, but it’ll be pretty quiet and get distorted easily.

Cheap powered computer speakers are a simple solution.

When I connect the speakers, I get a really low feedback sound. Is that the tone? It does not seem to change even if I change the frequency

I’d have to see exactly how you have wired it.

Here’s a YouTube video that shows how to get started.
I didn’t make the video, and only looked enough to see that it shows a correct way to get sound out.
