But I understand your frustration. There is a lack of overview documentation that explains the programming paradigm of Daisy. For me, I had help in that I had already worked with the Mozzi library for Arduino, and studied a few other things related to audio programming. They are all based on the same model (the audio callback).
I plan to write a couple of programming tutorials for beginners to Daisy programming, just need to get a couple of other things done first.
