Daisy boost and max BlockSize

Just a quick inquiry: has anyone tried to init the daisy seed with the boost option (default clock is 400MHz but hw.init() has ‘boost’ option, apparently driving it to 480MHz.

Also, why is the max block size limited to 256? is it for DMA buffer size reasons? latency issues? what is the hardware limit?

thanks.

Enabling boost is done by many. What’s the question about it?

will it increase the temperature significantly or degrade device reliability?

It will not degrade the device whatsoever.

This is a relic from when this CPU first came out and it was not specced all the way up to 480MHz.

That has not been the case for a while, and there is no reason to not run the Daisy at 480MHz all the time.
