Hi, I have this smoke sensor, the MQ-2, which operates at 5V.
I’m not sure how to connect it to the daisyseed. Is it enough to connect it to a 5V powerboost like the Adafruit “PowerBoost 1000 Charger - Rechargeable 5V Lipo USB Boost” and then insert a voltage divider (R1 = 1700 ohms and R2 = 3300 ohms) before connecting it to a daisyseed analog pin?
You should be able to connect it to the analog 3.3V pin on the Daisy Seed and have it work.
Otherwise, you could use a voltage divider but please double check that the voltage going into the Seed’s ADC pin is below 3V3 (specifically for ADC2, ADC3, AD6, ADC7, and ADC8 as these pins are 3.3V tolerant and not 5V tolerant like the other pins).
