OscPocketD/Drums - a new firmware for the OPD platform

OPD - the Daisy Pocket Platform - combines the Electosmith Daisy Seed with a 16x2 LCD Keypad to make a simple, inexpensive and portable audio tool running open source software.

Currently the OPD has several different applications (firmwares):

  • OscPocketD/VASynth - A MIDI virtual analog polyphonic synthesizer

NEW! The OPD/Drums features:

  • 8 drum tracks
  • sequencer with up to 64 steps, adjustable track length
  • adjustable accent
  • save/load sounds and sequences in 16 slots
  • internal adjustable tempo
  • external sync

Awesome! Will there be video demos soon?

Thanks @ben_serge! The drum firmware started as I wanted to try the drum DSP classes you have provided in DaisySP.

I’ll try to make a video demo of the drum machine, all the others already have video demos  (linked here: Open source – OSCILLATOR).

@ben_serge: Short and not very good demo, but at least it is something.

The Seed unfortunately couldn’t handle the Synthetic + Analog Snare and Hihat classes, while doing everything else, so although there is code in the project to use them, they are not selectable.
