Analog Buttons and Stereo Output?

Hi!

I have two quick questions:

  1. Is this adapter stereo? I can’t seem to get stereo output when connecting this 3.5 mm headphone adapter. I have ground and it connected to output[0] and output[1] to the ground tip and ring.

  2. I want to make a drum machine with force sensitive buttons. Does anyone know about any out of the box button pads or maybe how to design your own analog buttons? I know most use an LED in the middle, these finger like traces, and the buttons detect how much this carbon filament contacts it.

I think the jack that you linked to is mono with the ability to break a ‘normal’ connection, not stereo.

Ah that makes so sense. I was going crazy yesterday haha.

So what type of jack should I look for in the future? And what is breaking a normal connection?

Also, any advice on the buttons?
